  • Ciao, Sicilia! Sicily Travel Guides

    by 'N A Perfect World...

Ciao, Sicilia! I mean even that alone sounds sexy, no? Dolce & Gabbana built their brand around it. As an American living in Italy, it can be easy to fall into that La Dolce Vita myth. Everything is beautiful, everywhere is magical. Though, being primarily based in Northern Italy, I’ll let you in on something: Southern Italy has my heart. From my time in...

  • Italy Announces New Digital Nomad Visa

    by 'N A Perfect World...

In order to aid with tourism revitalization and slow tourism in particular, in May, Italy will be announcing a year-long renewable digital nomad visa to non EU citizens. Years ago, when looking into residency permits in Italy, I found the process a bit archaic in regards to today’s world and digital nomads. One of the standards of self-employment required you to invest a couple...

The Perfect Weekend in Taormina, Sicily

    by 'N A Perfect World...

You may have heard of Taormina, a hilltop town on the east coast of Sicily because of its glitzy international film festival or as it’s one of the towns on the magical Mount Etna hiking trail. The allure of Taormina is easy to understand. It’s a picture perfect Italian town showcasing Sicily’s rich history through its architecture, dating back to all of Taormina’s former...

ARE WEDDING FLOWERS WORTH IT? Happy National Flowe ARE WEDDING FLOWERS WORTH IT? Happy National Flower day! And for us? YES.
Michele and I love flowers. I love arranging them for friends get togethers like baby showers and dinners. Michele sends and brings home flowers — early in our relationship he knew I was a peony person.

BECAUSE I USUALLY AM THE ONE TO ASK… What are you doing with the flowers? Michele and I asked @cascinalagoscuro to arrange the flowers at the end with wrapping paper so people can make their own bouquets and take them home. Naturally, our flower girl, Sienna and I were making TONS of arrangements the next day. And I did some dried flower frames.

We trusted Casina Lago Scuro’s wild flower aesthetic and really wanted it natural but “dancing.” @silvia_quadrini photos during dinner perfectly captured it. Flower frames on our guests. 🌸🌸🌸

Appreciate your ❤️! You guys seem to love this Appreciate your ❤️! You guys seem to love this 📸 in stories and asked about the jacket so I thought I’d do an in feed of my #skistyle (resort wear). Questa look @adidas x @gucci. The collab is the perfect luxe #apresskistyle for #Courchevel.

The looks here are on another level with the really international crowd. And DIVERSE looking skiers (but I’ll get into that later).

The jacket has a built in hood, sunglasses with the straps so it was luxe but also cool and technical, which as a gear lover (even when I don’t need or have the expertise for I’m into!). But it’s also the active element for me. From my mom and grandma I believe luxury is meant to be worn, lived in, love. Taken care of but not kept in a glass.

I got a few wears out of the knit set as separates. Very Cool Runnings Pointelle knit is usually really delicate but as Michele said, “you put those Adidas stripes on it gives an edge!”

It was important to both of us that I felt EMPOWER It was important to both of us that I felt EMPOWERED and COMFORTABLE. And Euroski vibes… the luxury… hits differently.

Coming off of our #Babymoon in Courchevel feeling AMAZING. A good vacay stimulates my mind and body. This place did that in a short amount of time. Will share our itinerary in the next few days.

In the meantime… lmk are you here for the slopes, the food, the art, the family style international party? Comment!

Happy International Women's Day! 🌼
Here are two women owned / backed businesses I visited in Jordan that were trip highlights. When I travel, I try to seek out women owned businesses, from coffee shops to boutiques.

Slide 1 - my favorite meal in #Jordan was the cooking experience at @beitsitti with Um Reem Amal. 3 sisters and their mom created and run the Beit Sitting restaurant from their grandmother's house. Each sister's cool personality and international travels and style blends seamlessly with the coziness of a grandma's kitchen. Their chefs who made a home in Jordan (whether local or from Syria, Afghanistan etc.). It's home.

Slide 3 - wow! The @iraqalamircoop is a community led group aiming to help local women become financially independent while preserving local heritage. Delicious food, beautiful pottery, art and handicrafts. These women are the heroes in their communities.

What to Watch Set in Sicily

by 'N A Perfect World...

White Lotus is what drew you to Sicily and the Four Seasons San Domenico Palace in Taormina. Here are other films and shows set in Sicily. The perfect backdrop to get you in the mood for your vacation in Sicily! Over the years tons of international productions have used the beautiful landscape of Sicily as their backdrops. One of my favorite destinations in Italy, this Meditterranean island is a vibrant and diverse in scenery as it is in culture. Maybe it’s dramatic Mount Etna or the beautiful cascading “stairs” of Scala dei Turchi going into the turquoise sea. Then there’s the baroque architecture and the ancient Greek ruins. Sicily is always a good idea. Here’s a run down of films and shows set in Sicily to get you in the mood for your next Sicilian holiday. The White Lotus Season 2 (2022) The HBO runaway hit The White Lotus returned for a second season. For season two, the action takes place in the renovated San Domenico Palace in Taormina, Sicily — a real life...
