One of the highlights of my trip to Medellín was a visit to the boutique Andrés Pajón in the upscale Poblado district. The first thing that came to my head upon entering the boutique was Dynasty — in the best possible way. The gorgeous luxe decor reminded me of the boudoir of a Hollywood starlet. I could picture throwing myself down the stairs in a fit of rage, or maybe throwing a crystal decanter while weeping in a beautiful Andrés Pajón gown like this one. Or maybe some romantic canoodling in one of the indoor gardens. The founders of the brand, Pajón & Cartagena are absolutely gems and fashion geniuses who have their finger on the pulse of not only Latin American design, but also with sights set on the US and Europe. The collection currently in store is inspired by their home, Medellín, with the colors of gorgeous Medellín sunsets, the surrounding mountain ranges and Colombian flowers represented. Already a favorite among Latin American leading ladies, I have a feeling that we’ll be seeing more Andrés Pajón soon.

While at the boutique, I reluctantly tried on a dress for a video. I say reluctantly because I had been traveling all day and couldn’t imagine peeling off my grungy Levi’s in Andrés Pajón’s immaculately lacquered dressing room. Sooo happy I was convinced. It was like a complete Cinderella moment. Power of fashion!
