What’s Cooler than Raving at Masada?!

Dead Sea Rave

When Herod the Great built the iconic desert fortress, Masada, in 37 BCE I think he saw greatness, grandeur and a lasting memorial to himself and all of his accomplishments. Do you think he saw… Skrillex?!

Skrillex and Zedd, two of the top names in electronic dance music, are going to headline the Minus 424 Dead Sea Rave on November 5th in possibly one of the sickest venues imaginable. The last time I was at the Dead Sea, well it was pretty… dead. The rave is going to take place at the base of Masada, the lowest point on Earth at 424 meters below sea level and will go from sunset to sunrise (I’ve seen both at the Dead Sea and they are spectacular). Past performers have been some of my favorites like David Guetta, Dash Berlin, and W&W. Now in its third year, the Minus 424 Dead Sea Rave will feature an elaborate stage, pyrotechnics, special effects, a vast dance space and VIP areas. Due to the festival’s remote location at the Dead Sea, special shuttles will be provided from Tel Aviv, Rishon LeZion, Haifa, Jerusalem, Beersheba and Eilat.

20,000 people, this incredible location, this music, an experience not to be missed. If you’re in Israel, or will be there during this time, get your tickets here. They start at $58!

No rave in site when I was last there…
