You can buy Tommy’s version for hundreds of dollars but I knew better. ;). I’ve seen men wearing marina’s my whole life, they’re pretty standard island wear.
While in Negril and Montego Bay this August I took a cooking lesson at Prospect Plantation in Ochos Rios with Chef Adra Hillock. I can now say I know how to clean callaloo and jerk like a pro. Check out pictures and video from the day below as well as the recipes for you to prepare your own Jamaican feast at home – watch carefully for Chef Hillock’s little secret!
A Brief History of Seven Killings: Conspiracy theorists and lovers of all things Bob Marley, this is the book for you; it’s about the assassination attempt on Marley in the 1970s. From the very real Jamaican political party feuds to the CIA’s involvement in wars and violence in the West Indies and Latin American, there were points in the novel when I turned the pages furiously hungry to read more.

On my last day at Rockhouse, I was treated to their new bathing ritual at the spa. Coconut milk, ginger shots, oatmeal diffuser… Let me take you through it.
With Columbus Day weekend coming up for us in the US, I thought I’d nudge you in the direction of my perfect long weekend getaway, Rockhouse Hotel in Negril, Jamaica.
Tommy Hilfiger finally caught on to what I’m sure you guys already knew. ;). A piece that I wrote for my fellow island girl, Tamu McPherson’s blog, All the Pretty Birds came out last week, where I shared a small taste of my amazing trip to Montego Bay & Negril with the Jamaican Tourism Board this past August. To accompany that, for this #FBF let’s take a little break from Fashion Month and get irie. Here’s my Rockhouse Hotel photo diary.
Check out my Rockhouse – Negril, Jamaica Travel Guide for my friend Tamu’s blog, All the Pretty Birds!
