What to Wear: French Sole NY for Long Days Touring Cities

French-Sole-NY - Nneya Richards

Remember when the stereotypical tourist lewk was a fanny pack, white tube socks and sneakers. Then Carrie Bradshaw donned a Gucci fanny, the norm-core movement took center stage and even institutions like the Brooklyn museum caught up with the #sneakerhead culture. Now it’s FlyKnits for everyone be they tourist or not! While I love a street-chic look with my latest sneaker snag, there is arguably nothing more polished and picturesque than strolling along the Seine in a classic ballet flat.

For as long as I can remember, French Sole NY on the Upper East Side has been my go-to for a classic comfortable, ballet flat. They do those well, and so much more, like my latest must-have in my city travel bag, the Ophelia. So comfortable and so lightweight, I can’t wait to bring them on my next trip. They even have backpacker friendly laces should you choose to hang them around your neck for storage ;)!
