SuitCase Magazine Sayulita Travel Guide Up!

I continue my love affair with Sayulita on the website of one of my favorite travel and fashion magazine founded by a group of London-based wunderkinds, Suitcase. This is definitely one of the most extensive travel guides I’ve done and there’s still tons I’d love to include, like my friends Nick and Alex’s new bar, Liquido on Calle Marlin right off the beach. Lots of my New York friends have told me in the recent years they’d love to join me in Sayulita, and I’m proud to say one of my closest, Jess, is finally going in March. I can’t wait to hear about her experience in my home away from home. Click through to see more of my Sayulita picks! http://suitcasemag.com/2015/02/12/sayulita-mexico-travel-guide/

Let’s Brunch & Shop: #MadeInMexico

Who doesn’t love brunching and shopping on a Saturday?! Enjoying Naty’s chicken mole tacos for breakfast. Sayulita. 2014 What’s on the menu? Watch my friend Isis in Sayulita as she teaches this gringa (that’s what you call a taco with cheese at Tacos del Ivan, btw) how to prepare huevitos a la mexicana in delicious handmade tortillas. Here’s what I’m coveting this Saturday, this awesome Alpaca Clutch bag from my friends at Anndra Neen. The line is made in Mexico City and designed by Mexico City natives & NYC-based stunning sister duo Phoebe & Annette Stevens. The first time I saw an Anndra Neen piece was when on friend, Kyleigh Kuhn and I was instantly obsessed. I’m an accessories addict and Anndra Neen takes the metal worked accessory game to a whole new level. I’m partial to the brand’s crossbody bags. It’s wearable art really. Travel Diary – Paris, France

This post is a small reprieve from the flood of stories of the tragedies in Paris. I am lucky to have been to Paris a few times, but my trip to Paris in April 2009 is when I really fell in love with the city; I got why my favorite American authors flocked here in the 20s.
April in Paris.  There’s a reason why there’s a song and movie of that name.  It is an absolutely magical time.

Welcome!

Welcome to ’N A Perfect World… a curated intersection of travel, fashion and geopolitics & socialization inspired by the global citizen lifestyle of the millennial. From up-and-coming artisans to locales, ’N A Perfect World… will invite you off the beaten path. Through my travels I’ve found that I’m a “spontaneous planner.” People are often surprised by my willingness and eagerness to travel alone. So far, in my journeys, this hasn’t impacted my safety and has afforded me great cultural leeway and freedom. Being that I do often travel alone, pre-trip, my planning side kicks in: I’m looking up everything about my destination and jotting everything from great hiking vistas to the address of the nearest American embassy in my travel notebooks. But, pretty much as soon as I get there, most of my planned itinerary tends to go out of the window and more often than not I find my self sitting shot gun on the way to a fiesta with the locals, or on the back of someone’s motorcycle carving up the mountain to …

What Kind of Traveller are You?

Welcome to ’N A Perfect World… After years of making travel guides for friends, contributing to amazing publications and sharing my stories via texts and long-winded emails, I’ve decided to create a home base for my passion of exploration. And with that, in a whirlwind — like most things in my life — ’N A Perfect World… is born. Here, you’ll soon find a curated intersection of travel, fashion and geopolitics & socialization inspired by the global citizen lifestyle of the millennial. From up-and-coming artisans to locales, ’N A Perfect World… will invite you off the beaten path. Speaking of “off the beaten path,” the best way to really enjoy your travels is to figure out, “what kind of traveler are you?” Are you an all-inclusive person? Do you spend weeks before your vacation pouring over travel books (and hopefully my site 😉 ) and planning your vacation down to the second? Would you prefer to hop on a plane and wing-it? Do your friends preface emails with, “where in the world are you now?” …
