From Gala season in New York to endless Christmas parties starting from Halloween on in Europe, I love this time of year. New York to London to Milan, I love the magic lights that dazzle the streets around Christmas time. Sparkly jumpsuits, sequined skirts, I must say, my holiday looks are open put together to rival the string lights. This is the time of year where you can unabashedly shine!

Slowly, since the week after Halloween, I began to see hints of Christmas through Bergamo. Store fronts put out their lights, our favorite flower shop had a holiday part heralding their holiday goods, panettone (Italian Christmas cakes) filled supermarket shelves. This would be my first Christmas season in Italy since I was a student in 2006 and I remembered the magic eagerly. Bergamo, a beautiful, picturesque city nestled in the pre-Alps, did not disappoint. Here are some photos of a night Michele and I spent in cittá Alta.

the beautiful stones of Bergamo’s upper city is a NIGHTMARE on heels!
Here is a throwback to some of my favorite looks in Brooklyn!
